Mimaki’s unique ‘kebab’ option rotates bottles, cans, tins and other cylindrical items to enable a complete print around the outside of the object, offering powerful packaging proofing and bespoke gift capabiltiies.
What is UV Printing?
Since the introduction of digital flatbed printers, it is now possible to print directly onto components using inkjet printing heads. Digital printing is ideal for short print runs, especially for multi-colour images, because the images are sent directly to the printing heads via RIP software. This means that you do not need to produce film positives, printing plates and ink formulations, making digital printing very cost effective and easy to setup.
We offer a range of digital flatbed printers that use UV curing inks for instant curing onto the substrate. There is a limitation to what can be printed compared to pad printing, as the print heads need to be within 2-3 mm of the surface to be printed to avoid overspray and loss of focus to the printed image.
